Mark Nelson is Co-Founder and Partner of MANNA Capital Partners, where he leads acquisitions, investment strategy, and the strategic oversight of the firm’s growing commercial real estate portfolio.
Mark brings more than two decades of experience across commercial real estate investment, development, brokerage, and asset management. Prior to founding MANNA, he was a Principal and Co-Founder of NelsonHill, a Chicago-based commercial real estate firm specializing in industrial and adaptive-reuse properties throughout the city’s urban core. Under Mark’s leadership, the firm grew into a 12-person team advising clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, land, redevelopment, and ground-up development.
Over the course of his career, Mark has participated in more than 550 commercial real estate transactions representing over $1 billion in total transaction value. Alongside his advisory work, he built and developed a personal portfolio of commercial real estate totaling more than 850,000 square feet, giving him the perspective of both an investor and an operator.
At MANNA, Mark focuses on identifying compelling investment opportunities and unlocking value through disciplined acquisitions, creative repositioning, active asset management, and a long-term ownership mindset. His experience navigating complex transactions, capital markets, financing, leasing, and redevelopment allows him to evaluate opportunities from both a strategic and operational perspective.

Michael Nelson is Co-Founder and Partner of MANNA Capital Partners, where he plays a key role in the firm’s investment strategy, acquisitions, portfolio management, and long-term growth.
With more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate, Michael has developed extensive expertise across acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and asset management. Prior to founding MANNA, Michael was a Principal and Co-Founder of NelsonHill, a Chicago-based commercial real estate firm specializing in industrial and adaptive-reuse properties throughout the city’s urban core.
During his time at NelsonHill, Michael helped build the company into a 12-person organization and establish the firm as an active and respected participant in Chicago’s commercial real estate market. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in more than 550 commercial real estate transactions representing over $1 billion in total transaction value, encompassing investment sales, leasing, redevelopment, land, and ground-up development.
In addition to his transactional experience, Michael has been directly involved in building and developing a personal commercial real estate portfolio exceeding 850,000 square feet. His experience as both an advisor and principal gives him a comprehensive understanding of the entire investment lifecycle—from sourcing and underwriting opportunities to financing, leasing, repositioning, and operating assets.
At MANNA, Michael brings an entrepreneurial and relationship-driven approach to real estate investing. He works closely with the firm’s partners, lenders, tenants, and investment relationships to identify opportunities, execute business plans, and drive long-term performance across the portfolio.
