120,000 SF Multi-Tenant Creative Loft Development

2415 West 19th Street,
Chicago, IL

Project Overview

2415 West 19th Street, Chicago, IL

In early 2017, MANNA acquired this 120,000 SF property in an off-market transaction. Originally built circa 1907, the building showcases classic heavy timber loft construction alongside a high-clearance crane bay, ideal for accommodating a range of specialty uses.

At acquisition, the asset was underutilized, with below-market rents and deferred maintenance. In response, MANNA implemented a $2 million capital improvement plan, revitalizing the property from top to bottom and repositioning it as a multi-tenant creative incubator. Branded The Machine Shop in tribute to its industrial roots, the reimagined space quickly attracted a dynamic and diverse community of makers, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

To support the property’s rapid growth, MANNA also secured the adjacent 40,000 SF lot at 2000 S. Western Avenue, expanding parking capacity and improving overall accessibility.
